Stephen W. Kent, MD
Medical Director

Dr. Kent brings over 26 years experience to DoctorsCare and leads the team of professional staff available at our facility. Dr. Kent earned his medical degree from UTCHS in Memphis and completed his post graduate training at UT Memorial Hospital in Knoxville, TN.

Dr. Kent is the Medical Director for several companies in the Clarksville area, an Aviation Medical Examiner and is MRO (Medical Review Officer) Certified.

Dr. Kent is on the State of Tennessee Medical Impairment Registry. Dr. Kent is a U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Civil Surgeon for over 10 years. Dr. Kent is currently the Medical Director of Montgomery County EMS and is the acting Coroner of Montgomery County.  Dr. Kent is currently ACLS/ATLS/PALS certified.  Dr. Kent graduated from the Nashville School of Law 2007 and is a licensed attorney in the state of Tennessee.
William D. Shippen, Jr., MD

William D. Shippen, Jr., MD

Dr. Shippen earned his medical degree from the University of Arkansas, College of Medicine in Little Rock, Arkansas and complete his post graduate training at the Naval Regional Medical Center in Oakland, California.

Dr. Shippen is a retired Naval Medical Officer with over 20 years experience in Emergency Medicine. He is also board certified in Emergency Medicine.

Jacqueline Marco

Mrs. Jacqueline Marco earned her degree from Trevecca Nazarene University in 1987. She is a certified Physician Assistant who has over 20 years of experience practicing in emergency medicine and urgent care. Mrs. Marco has extensive knowledge with the administrative and clinical aspects of the start-up of ambulatory care and occupational medicine centers. She is also a member of the Tennessee Academy of Physician Assistants, (TAPA). Mrs. Marco is an avid supporter for women’s health, and she offers annual physical exams to our DoctorsCare patients.
Shea Simons

Shea Simons PA-C

Mrs. Shea Simons earned her bachelor's degree from University of Kentucky in 1999 and master's degree from University of Nebraska in 2001 in Physician Assistant Studies.  She is a certified Physician Assistant with over 10 years experience in family practice and urgent care medicine. 

Greg Smith

Mr. Smith brings 17 years of experience in senior healthcare financial management to DoctorsCare, having served as CFO and Administrator of two former medical groups in Clarksville and Nashville, and Controller of Clarksville Memorial Hospital. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Austin Peay State University, and master’s degree from Ashford University of Iowa.

He is a Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, a Fellow of the American College of Medical Practice Executives, and a Certified Business Manager. Mr. Smith is a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society, the Institute of Certified Professional Managers, the American Institute of Parliamentarians, the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels, and is a Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) of Toastmasters International.
